Help Maintain Blood Supplies for Holiday Needs
LA QUINTA - The American Automobile Association predicts 42.3 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home this Fourth of July - the most Independence Day travelers since 2007.
That activity also means an increased need for blood products, and Desert Blood Services is urging local residents make a lifesaving blood donation before leaving town or upon returning home.
In addition to the satisfaction of helping save lives, donors July 1-31 at Desert Blood Services donor centers and community drives receive (while supplies last) a coupon for a free pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
Walk-ins are welcome; to set an appointment, please call 760.777.8844.
