A family is still searching for answers after a Palm Springs teenager was found dead in the road on Gene Autry Trail.
Zia Hoyos was found dead in the road on May 21st, Saturday would have been her birthday.
Her family and friends held a vigil Friday night where her body was found.

"My daughter would have been 17 years old, tomorrow," said Zia's mother, Senta Florez.
Zia's mother is heartbroken.
It has been over a month since Zia died, and still no answers for the family.
"This person or people have not been found, I know you guys are out there," said Florez.
Police have not made any arrests for her death.
Police say she had injuries from being hit by a car; detectives believe she was lying in the road when she was run over.
"She was not alone, they know who they were, somebody has to have seen it, somebody left her out here, she would not walk on Gene Autry by herself," said Florez.
Cupping the candlelit flowers, children touched Zia's cross and family held Zia's mother--overcome by grief.
Instead of celebrating Zia's birthday, now her family mourns her loss.
"We just wanted to honor her, by coming out here. We want to keep the case, we dont' want the case to go cold, because we want to know what happened to Zia," said Zia's cousin, Harmony Alvarado.
Zia was remembered with love by her family and friends.
"She was beautiful young lady, she had her whole future ahead of her," said Alvarado.
But her future was cut short, and now her family searches for answers and justice.
"You guys need to turn yourselves in, you're going to have to live with this for the rest of your life. How can you call yourself a human being to have to hurt somebody and leave them in the middle of the street," said Florez.
