Some Spots Remaining for Critter Kiddz Camp
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A few spots remain open for Riverside County Animal Services' Critter
Kiddz Camp.
The department is running two separate, week-long camps that are geared around all sorts of animals,
including an alligator that will soon be heading to a rescue group organization.
The camps are for ages 6 to 11.
Children will also meet a llama, a bunny or two, reptiles and many homeless pets at the county's main
shelter and learn some tricks about how to train dogs and, of course, learn to appreciate and respect
pets, and how to be safe around animals too.
More information is at www.rcdas.org
Week 1's theme, "Animal Adventures," begins Monday, July 16, and runs through Friday, July 20.
Week 2, "Animal Detectives," starts on Monday, July 23, and runs through Friday, July 27.
Both camps run each day 9 a.m. to noon at the main shelter, the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter, 6851 Van Buren Blvd., Jurupa Valley, Calif. 92509.
Parents can sign up their child for $100 for one week, or $175 for both weeks.
