6th Annual Backpack Drive

PALM DESERT - The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission is hosting a backpack and school supply donation drive and your help is needed.
More than 3,000 children from low-income homes will recieve a backpack filled with supplies as part of the Backpack Bonanza Program.
Supplies like backpacks, pencils, paper and binders are needed.
You can make a donation at one of the 25 drop-off sites including at KMIR6 in Palm Desert.
Donations will be accepted until August 13th and will be delivered later that month.
KMIR6 is located at 72920 Park View Drive in Palm Desert.
The Backpack Bonanza giveaway will be held Saturday, August 18th from 8 a.m. to noon at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.
