PALM DESERT-- The excessive heat is still baking the Coachella Valley. Staff at The Living Desert say they have to take precautions when the temperatures hit the triple digits. Along with the misters, animals cool off in water and sometimes eat their meals frozen. They say you can do the same with your pets. "I do it at home. I have a whole freezer tray full of big ice blocks. I save old yogurt carts and put them in their water bowl before I leave for work," says Animal Curator Liz Hile.
