PALM DESERT - Investigators are reviewing surveillance video of a robbery at Gucci in Palm Desert.
Police say the robber entered through a rear door of the store, located on the 73000 block of El Paseo. The robbery happened about 9:30 a.m. Saturday before the store was open, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's deputy.
Sheriff's investigators say the suspect fled with several high-end items from the store. Exact description of the merchandise was not available.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office, which patrols Palm Desert, says it is increasing police presence along El Paseo following a rash of store robberies in recent weeks.
Anyone with information about the Gucci break-in is asked to contact The Riverside County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP.
