East Coachella Robbers Caught
COACHELLA VALLEY-- They're being called the Bonnie and Clyde of the Eastern Coachella Valley and tonight, the suspected serial bandits are in jail. Police think the couple is responsible for at least five recent restaurant robberies, and Indio police say there could be more charges coming. Police arrested the pair yesterday afternoon at their home in Palm Desert. 22-year-old Christopher Bryson and his suspected partner in crime, 20-year-old Zachsia Price are behind bars accused of robbing a number of Coachella Valley businesses within the last month. Here's the list-- On June 22, the Dairy Queen, on Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes On July 4, Cold Stone Creamery in La Quinta The very next day it was Teddy's Donuts on Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes And later that day, China Jo's on Highway 111 in La Quinta. And just two days ago, the Subway on Monroe Street in Indio. "We went to their place of residency off michigan st in the city of palm desert, and as a result of the investigation, we were able to make an arrest and also arrested his accomplice," says Indio Police Spokesperson Ben Guitron. The suspects are now behind bars at the Riverside County Jail. Bryson is being held on $100,000 dollars bail, and the bail for Price is set at $25,000
