Water Conservation and Art
CABAZON - A spokesperson for the Cabazon Water District says we have to be more mindful of conserving water, and they're using a local teen's artwork to drive that message home. General Manager Calvin Louie at the Cabazon Water District says we can all be doing a better job of conserving. The organization asked 17-year-old Danielle Ruiz of Palm Desert to create a comic strip, illustrating the importance of water conservation.
The Cabazon Water District is using this comic to inspire adults and kids to learn the importance of water conservation, and how each one of us, can make a difference.
"By using shower heads that are water efficient, fixing leaks in your bathroom, swamp coolers and watering your plants at night," says Calvin Louie, General Manager for the Cabazon Water District.
"Its a big deal. We live in a desert, and we have to conserve our water," says Danielle Ruiz.
