Windy Point Brush Fire
PALM SPRINGS - A brush fire likely sparked by a lightning strike quickly burned 15 to 20 acres in the Windy Point area near Palm Springs Monday.
According to fire officials, there are no immediate threat to any structures.
The fire broke out shortly before 2 p.m. in an area south of Highway 111 west of Snow Creek Road.
According to fire officials, the blaze appears to have been sparked by lightning in the area.
Highway 111 was reduced to one lane of traffic in the area.
