Hot and humid conditions here in the valley, with some light rain hitting parts of the valley .
But we found folks still willing to brave the sweaty conditions at the Palm Springs VillageFest.

George and Isabel Cortez drive their frozen yogurt truck to the street fair, getting ready for a humid night.
"It's intense, I'm already dreading, but I think we're going to have a good turnout with the heat," said Isabel.
And their cool treats are sure to be a hot item.
"I was here last week, and a lot of people out here, there's a lot of people out here and they're buying cold drinks, and ice and ice cream," said George.
The muggy air seems thicker than normal.
"It's been getting progressively worse every July and August for the last few years," said Palm Springs resident, Lee Bartelmey.
But Lee says he will enjoy these humid conditions at VillageFest.
"Nice and sweaty, nice and humid, and it feels good," said Lee.
But others find the thick air a bit suffocating.
"Well right now it's really warm, it's 105 degrees so," said Linda Aun, with the Paella Flavor of Spain vendor.
But the street fair vendors are still expecting a decent turnout in downtown Palm Springs.
"It's not as bad, the last year was kind of worse, but this year is better," said Linda.
And a crowd had already shown up before the street fair even started, braving the heat and humidity.
"Well right now it's not that bad, compared to six weeks ago and I had to go to a drive in Rancho Mirage and it was like 118," said Palm Springs resident, Helke Engle.
So Helke wasn't going to let humidity stop her from going to VillageFest.
"Definitely, I try to make it every Thursday," said Helke.
Still, many people say they are ready for lower temperatures, lower humidity and September.
"Yes, I'm looking forward to September," said Linda.
Expect this humid weather to linger a little longer, a flash flood watch was issued from noon until 8pm Friday.
