RIVERSIDE - The public is invited to health expos at four community health centers throughout Riverside County as part of National Health Center Week.

Visitors will have a chance to learn about the varied services the clinics offer, get a free blood pressure screening, and receive several gifts and nutritious snacks - as long as they both last. The events are organized by the Riverside County Health System, which operates the clinics, and will also include presentations from other agencies, including the County of Riverside Department of Public Health.

"We are delighted to take part in the efforts to improve the health of Riverside County and the clinics are an important part of that mission. Prevention and screening are the most important first steps," said Cameron Kaiser, interim public health officer.

The expos each start at 10 a.m. and run until 1 p.m.

"The community health center fairs being held throughout Riverside County are an integral component to introducing our residents to the care providers and services in their local communities," said Douglas Bagley, chief executive officer for the Riverside County Regional Medical Center.

The events will be held:

Aug. 28 - Rubidoux Family Care Center, 5256 Mission Blvd., Rubidoux.
Aug. 29 - Riverside Neighborhood Clinic, 7140 Indiana Ave., Riverside.
Aug. 30 - Perris Family Care Center, 308 E. San Jacinto Ave., Perris.
