Defendants Found Guilty of First Degree Murder
INDIO--The verdict is in for two men accused of murdering a Palm Springs retiree. Daniel Garcia and Kaushal Niroula were found guilty of first degree murder and other charges including conspiracy for the 2008 stabbing death of Clifford Lambert.
The jury deliberated for about three days before convicting Kaushal and Garcia. Both men represented themselves during the trial. Clifford Lambert was stabbed to death in the kitchen of his Palm Springs home back in 2009. Prosecutor Lisa Di Maria was thrilled with the verdict--jurors cheered as she exited the courtroom after the verdict had been read.
Both Garcia and Niroula face life in prison without the possibility of parole. Garcia will be sentenced October 5th. Niroula will be sentenced December 14th. Keep it here on KMIR6 and at KMIR6 dot com for continuing coverage of the Clifford Lambert murder case.
