Riverside County Sheriff Deputy in Hot Water
PALM SPRINGS - A Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy is arrested for suspected drug activity, while he was off the clock.
On Wednesday, Deputy Omar Gomez was arrested in Palm Springs following a criminal investigation. Gomez was in possession of a loaded gun while under the influence. He also had a hypodermic needle and other drug paraphernalia on him at the time of his arrest.
Gomez was most recently assigned to the Robert Presley Detention Center. He has been employed with the Sheriff's department since 2007.
