Deadly La Quinta Crash
LA QUINTA - A 28 year old La Quinta woman died Sunday night in a head-on collision.
Its still not known if last night's wild weather contributed to the crash.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Avenue 50 near Park Avenue in La Quinta.
Police say Leyann Mercer lost control of her car and veered into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Nissan Sentra.
Mercer died on scene just minutes after the collision. A woman and two children in the Nissan suffered minor injuries.
