Residential Burglar Under Arrest

PALM SPRINGS - A fugitive residential burglar is in police custoday Sunday following an undercover operation.

Saturday night Palm Springs police department's Crime Supression Team located 28 year old Juan Stubbs at a home in Desert Hot Springs. Police made contact with Stubbs inside the house and were able to get him to come outside and surrender peacefully.

Stubbs was arrested on October 9, 2011 following an evening residential burglary. He was arrested again on May 14, 2012 following an early morning residential burglary. Stubbs is also a suspect in several additional residential burglaries. Several of the burglaries were committed to residences during darkness while the victims slept inside. Stubbs posted bail following the previous arrests but failed to appear in court and felony bench warrants were issued. 

Stubbs is being held in custody at this time following a bail increase to $25,000.
