"Proposition 37"
LOS ANGELES - Thursday the L.A Times released a poll showing a two to one margin among Californa voters that support an initiative to have "geneteically modified food" labeled.
With less than six weeks until election day, Proposition 37 is supported by 61-percent of registered voters and opposed by 25-percent. If approved by voters November 6th, the labeling initiative would make California the first state in the nation to require labels on GMO foods.
Recent studies show lab rats were becoming sterile and growing tumors when feed GMO's.
Opponents of Proposition 37 say GMO foods are safe. Big companies like Monsanto, Coca Cola, Kellogs and Nestle have invested millions to halt the proposition here in California.
