Survivors, Supporters and Celebrities Walk the Runway For A Cure
INDIAN WELLS - Dozens of breast cancer survivors, their supporters and even some local television and radio personalities were showing off some hot fall fashions Saturday at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells as part of the Passionately Pink Fashion and Hair Show. The fashion show was part of a two-day event, Sleep In For The Cure, supporting the Susan G. Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure. The event educates women about breast health and breast cancer. Organizers say the mission is to empower people to join the fight against breast cancer and educate our community on the importance of early detection. On Friday, the event kicked off with a fun pajama party with spa treatments, entertainment, pajama contest and prizes. Caroldean Ross of Resale Therapy along with Maily O'Neil from El Paseo's Mai Salon presented Saturday's fashion show. KMIR6's Thalia Hayden, Adrianna Weingold walked the runway as models along with Manny dela Rosa (Manny The Movie Guy), who also served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
