PALM DESERT - A 76 year old woman accused of drinking and driving ran a red light causing a serious accident Wednesday morning in Palm Desert.
According to Riverside County Sheriff's Deputies, Judith Wasserman of Palm Desert ran a red light around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cook street and Green Way before slamming into a truck making a turn. Wasserman's car then jumped a curb, hit another truck and slammed into the Jensens.
Wasserman and another driver were both transported to hospital and are expected to be okay. Deputies believe alcohol was a factor in this crash.
