Parolee at Large Warrant Arrest
PALM SPRINGS - Wednesday night Palm Springs police arrested a man wanted on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.
Bicycle patrol officers responded to the 100 block South Palm Canyon after reports that a 16 year old girl reported she was repeatedly annoyed and sexually harassed by a man.
Police quickly tracked down and detained Maurice Alexander Nunz, 44, of Moreno Valley. After lying to police about his name and age, police eventually learned that he was a parolee at large for failing to register as a sex offender.
Nunz is listed as a Transient with No Address, so he is required to register every 30 days.
There was no injuries to the 16 year old girl.
