Kitten Rescued From Storm Drain
DESERT HOT SPRINGS - A small kitten is rescued from a storm drain, after being trapped with nowhere to go. Witnesses say they think the kitten was in the drain for several days.
A concerned citizen called into our newsroom, saying there was a cat stuck underground at the corner of Palm Drive and Pierson Boulevard. We were told that people were feeding the kitten while Riverside County Animal Services had placed a trap to catch the little one.
When KMIR6 camera crews arrived on location, the little black kitten was being lifted out of the hole, looking pretty healthy. No word on who is taking the cat home.
