The event runs until 6pm on Sunday. Palm Canyon Drive will be closed to drivers from Amado to Arenas until 11pm on Sunday.
PALM SPRINGS-- Thousands of motorcyclists from around the country have flocked Palm Springs for the annual American Heat Motorcycle Weekend.
Motorcycle enthousiasts are treated to a variety of stunt shows, live music, shopping, great food and lots of good looking bikes.
This event can't help but give the local economy a boost. Storeowners along Palm Canyon Drive say they usually see an increase in sales.
To ensure safety this weekend, the Palm Springs Police Department say they will have extra patrols on hand, so be safe out there.
