INDIO - An unsolved Halloween murder that happened two years ago in the Coachella Valley is back in the spotlight and the victims' family wants answers from police.
It was something out of a horror film two years ago for Emma Fernandez. In the early morning hours after Halloween night. Her son, Isabel Morales, and his friend shot and killed.
Now she and her family are taking to the streets, pleading for justice. They say someone at the Halloween party that might have seen who fired at the victims. No arrests made and the family says they've been stonewalled by Indio police.
"Nothing has been done, what they have is hearsay and we want more than that", says Emma Fernandez.
In the two years since the murders this is the first time the family has come out, but Emma says they'll keep coming out until the murder is solved, "We are not going to stop until we get some answers. We are going to do this as often as we can we are going to go to detectives office, we want this solved".
They hope the protests will push the indio police to do more.
