RANCHO MIRAGE-- Rancho Mirage city council members say the Ritz Carlton Hotel will be up and running by this time next year.
On Wednesday, The city council arrived at a solid deal for the completion of the hotel.
After six granted extension requests, the contractor, Rancho California Investments, sealed a deal with investment groups, Magna RE and Gen Com.
So now, Rancho Mirage City Council Member Dana Hobart says this project is finally ready to go.
"Shovels will go back into the ground on or before January 6, 2013 and the hotel will open for business on or before October 31 of 2013," says Hobart.
Rancho Mirage residents say the new hotel will generate revenue for the community, and they're looking forward to the grand opening.
