PALM SPRINGS-- Hundreds of thousands of people are headed to Palm Spring this weekend, for the last pride festival of the summer. This year's pride celebration theme is: "Long may it Wave!"
Those we spoke with say the festival weekend is more than just partying, it's about celebrating freedom. There will be lots to do all weekend long, but the big event takes place on Sunday. Many are already preparing for the 26th annual pride parade, which starts at 10:00am. But you may want to avoid driving in the downtown area. Palm Canyon Drive will be closed from Sunny Dunes to Ramon Road this weekend.
The festivities wrap up around 6:00pm on Sunday.
