Republican Push for Voters
INDIO--It's the final push before election day. Republicans here in the Coachella Valley are bracing for some tight races.
Republicans are confident Governor Mitt Romney will take the presidency. They're also sure Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack will stay in office. Still they're not taking any chances. Volunteers are still calling voters. Reaching for every last Republican vote.
"Elections, especially when they're free and fair, anything can happen, but I'm confident that we've got a great record of achievement to stand on and tomorrow the voters will agree with that," said Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack."
But she's not leaving anything up to chance. Bono Mack hit the campaign trail hard Monday, even calling voters herself to make sure they vote Republican.
The economy and jobs are at the forefront for Republicans. They're passionate and ready for a new president, but pulling for incumbent Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack to once again come out on top.
"I really really really want her to win," said Republican Campaign Volunteer Marilyn Morsch. "I'm impressed with her and I will do what needs to be done."
"We've got to change this country and we can't lose Mary," said Republican Campaign Volunteer Joy Miedecke. "Mary's the most important thing that's ever happened to our area. As long as we work for Mary and do good work, Mary's going to get re-elected and all of our dreams come true."
Even Sarah Palin's father-in-law Jim Palin was on hand. Knowing how stressful the last days of a campaign can be, he came to lend his support to Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack. He also says electing Governor Romney to the White House is crucial.
"We've just got to get Governor Romney elected. Period," Palin said.
Everyone at the Republican Headquarters is confident their party will be celebrating in just a matter of hours when Governor Romney defeats President Obama and Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack heads into her 15th year in office.
Right now the candidates are neck in neck. These last few hours are proving crucial for both local and national elections.
