CATHEDRAL CITY - The results from one mayoral race have gotten more attention than the others, and that's the race for Cathedral City mayor. For all other elected mayors in the valley, the incumbents kept their seats. But this was not the case in Cathedral City. It was one of the closest races, and biggest surprises.
Democrat Chip Yarborough unseated eight year incumbent Kathleen De Rosa, with 48% of the vote in a three-way race.
We caught up wtith Yarborough after the big win.
"Ive been a first responder for 35 years. I recently retired, but I worked with police and fire for my entire career, so this is a challenge that I'm looking forward to," says Yarborough.
