PALM DESERT - Hundreds of people joined the holiday-themed festivities Saturday evening in Palm Desert for the Miracle on El Paseo. The annual tree-lighting event is a benefit for Bighorn BAM (Behind A Miracle) a local organization that raises money to help provide much neeeded service to people with cancer.
Olympic figure skating champion Dorothy Hamill was a guest speaker and helped light the 60-foot Christmas tree that sits atop the Gucci store on El Paseo.
The event was made possible by the support of The Shops on El Paseo.
