Desert Regional Medical Center hosted a delegation of Japanese physicians Friday.
They're touring Southern California to explore how US health care facilities compare to Japan's.
The delegation includes administrators from hospitals, nursing homes and research institutes in Japan - all hoping to find ways to improve practices back home.
During the visit to Palm Springs, the Japanese group met with hospital administrators and toured the facility.
