Veterans Day Celebration Brings History to Life
The Veterans day celebration at the General Patton Memorial Museum brought history to life.
To pay tribute to WWII veterans, the entire celebration transported the hundreds of people gathered back in time.
A reenactor played President Franklin D. Roosevelt, men and women dressed in WWII uniforms, and WWII era tanks were back in use. Reenactors also played out a bloody battle on the frontlines of Normandy.
"So much is the memory and the sacrifices that were done and I think that's the biggest thing, we don't want people to forget what gave us what we have today," said Peter Thornton, a reenactor.
