PALM SPRINGS - A candlelight vigil is set for Thursday evening at a downtown Palm Springs parking garage where a Marine was shot and killed by police Saturday.
The family of Cpl. Allan DeVillena II are organizing the vigil, according to the Marine's aunt who contacted KMIR6 with the details. The candlelight vigil begins at 6 p.m. at the parking garage at 275 South Indian Canyon Drive. The public is invited to attend to show support.
An independent investigation into the shooting death is underway by the Riverside County District Attorney's office.
