Helen Hunt Receiving Award
PALM SPRINGS - It was announced Thursday that actress Helen Hunt will receive the "Spotlight Award" at 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala.
Hunt co-stars in Fox Searchlight Pictures' ""the Sessions", based on the autobiographical writings of California-based journalist and poet Mark O'brien.
"The Sessions" tells the story of a man who lived most of his life in an iron lung who is determined - at age 38 - to lose his virginity. "The Sessions" will be released nationwide on Friday.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival runs January 3rd through the 14th.
