Human Skeleton Found
PALM SPRINGS - Thursday night Palm Springs Police Detectives are sifting through the remains of a human skeleton found in the desert.
Around 3:00 p.m. people collecting recyclables came across the remains and called police. They were found in the desert area near Tipton Road, southeast of Whitewater Adobe Park.
It is not known at this time how long the remains have been at the location and there is no indication as to a cause of death. An autopsy will be conducted at a later date in an attempt to determine gender, identification and the cause and manner of death.
