Bicyclist Killed in Car Accident
PALM SPRINGS - A bicyclist is dead after he is struck by a car on South Palm Canyon Drive.
Friday night around 9 p.m. Palm Springs Police were called to Highway 111 and Avenida Palmera. The bicyclist died on the scene. The road was closed during the investigation.
Police say there was no preliminary indication that drugs or alcohol played a part in this collision and no arrests have been made in connection with it. His identity is being withheld pending coroner notification.
