Second Man Arrested in La Quinta Carjacking

LA QUINTA - A second man has been arrested in connection to a carjacking and robbery in La Quinta.
Riverside County Sheriff's investigators say 20-year -old Alex Lopez of La Quinta, along with previously arrested 21-year-old Jesus Jonathan Garcia carjacked and robbeda driver in the early morning hours of November 27th.
According to the victim, the two men were given a ride. One male, sitting in the back set, pulled a hangdun and robbed the driver of an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was then driven to a remote desert location and released without injury.
Lopez is charged with carjacking, kidanpping and robbery. Garcia, who was arrested the day of the incident, is charged with robbery and kidnapping.
