Cathedral City will keep it's current mayor, as challenger Chip Yarborough asked that the recount in the mayor's race be stopped.
Yarborough had lost the November election by just 13 votes, and before conceding Friday, had seen Mayor Kathy Derosa's lead grow during the recount. Yarborough praised the County Registrar's office for thier professionalism in the recount process.
