COACHELLA VALLEY-- Across the Coachella Valley, there are many signs that the holiday season is underway. From Chanukah beginning at sunset on Saturday, to tree lightings in various cities, there's plenty to see while you're out and about this holiday season.
Menorahs decorate the desert as Jewish families prepare for Chanukah. In Old Town La Quinta, Santa Clause made an appearance at the annual christmas tree lighting. The free ceremony was filled with activities for kids.
It was a similar story in the city of Coachella, where hundreds lined the streets for the city's annual Candy Cane Christmas. The holiday parade kicked off at 6PM, traveling all the way to Veterans Memorial Park. Families watched as floats decorated with christmas lights, rolled by.
