Businesses at Canada Fest Catering to Growing Population
PALM SPRINGS- The first-ever Canada fest brought out hundreds of vendors and thousands of people, most of them Canadian.
The event gives businesses the opportunity to cater to the desert's growing Canadian population. Booths features everything from travel business to clothing companies. For real estate companies, the chance to market to Canadian consumers is especially important. Canadian homeownership in the valley is up, making for a stronger real estate economy.
"The last few years what's kept us alive are our Canadian clients and friends," said Marnie Balog of Keller Williams Realty, "They've been purchasing a great deal in the desert and keeping us busy," said Balog.
The event runs until Sunday 12/9. Tickets are $10 at the door.
