Two Suspects Arrested in String of Burglaries
PALM SPRINGS - A pair of suspected serial burglars are off the streets tonight.
Early Saturday morning an alert resident noticed two men inside the Palm Springs Florist on North Palm Canyon Drive. Police arrived as the men dropped the goods and fled.
Shortly after police located and arrested Gabriel Delgado, 23 of Palm Springs and Heriberto Jara, 21 of Cathedral City. Jara was released because of a lack of evidence. Then on Sunday officers reviewing surveillance tapes of a separate burglary at Desert Regional Medical Center noticed Delgado and Jara in the video using crowbars to pry open a door. Neither man stole anything in that burglary.
Jara was picked up in Cathedral City. Both men now face burglary charges.
