Virgin America Takes Flight
PALM SPRINGS - Starting Saturday Virgin America will launch a seasonal non-stop flight between Palm Springs and New York's John F. Kennedy International airport.
City and airline officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. at Palm Springs International airport to mark the flight start-up. Palm Springs Mayor Pro Tem Chris Mills and Virgin America CFO Peter hunt are expected to attend.
Virgin America's weekly Saturday flight will run through the spring.
