PALM SPRINGS- Hollywood's biggest names lined the red carpet at the 24th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala. Among the celebrities, Ben Affleck was being honored with the Ensemble Cast Award for his movie Argo. Helen Hunt received the Spotlight Award. In his first time in Palm Springs, Martin Sheen strolled down the red carpet to give Sally Field the lifetime achievement award. The event kicks off the awards season for films, and for many celebrities it is the first stop on the campaign trail to the Oscars.
