Date & Wine Tasting Event Promotes Heart Health
PALM DESERT - Health experts say dates may be taking over the the super food status once held by blueberries. Charlie Rainey, a food science expert with the California Date Growers says dates are a good source of antioxidants and other nutrients necessary to help reduce the risk of cardio vascular disease.
Go Red For Women and the California Date Administrative Committee are hosting an evening of a date and wine Tasting to help spread the word about the health benefits of dates.
