INDIO--Casinos are a favorite destination for tourists and locals alike here in the desert. One of the major players in town recently got quite the facelift.

From the gaming halls, to the slot machines, the casino at Fantasy Springs is sporting a brand new look.

"I think when you come in and experience it, it's a very calming effect as opposed to a very over stimulating effect," General Manager, Paul Ryan said.

Ryan says the entire casino has been transformed. From sleek new flooring and lighting, to new comfortable seating for those gambling marathons.

"We just completely ripped everything out and started right from scratch," Ryan said. "We just changed everything, rebuilt  the pits, the pit that we're standing in front of didn't exist just 6 months ago."

Ryan is talking about Pit 8 or Fortune hall. A gaming room with slots and tables catering to the casino's asian customers.

Another big change at Fantasy Springs is the Player's Club. It's now in the middle of the casino floor so players can easily sign up and win big.

The renovations are extensive and include a new state of the art air filtration system so everyone can breathe a little easier.

"It's brighter, it's livelier and now we're going to have a lot of new exciting things for people to play," Dave Polizzi, Director of Slots said.

For all you slot lovers. 2,000 slot machines are calling your name, but even more bonus rounds are coming soon.

"We got a lot of new products coming into Fantasy Springs that are going to generate a lot of additional excitement as far as bonus rounds and free spins for the customers," Polizzi said.

With more chances to cash in, it's time to stretch out, relax, and let the professionals shuffle up and deal.
