Third Bank Robbed in Coachella Valley over Two Days
RANCHO MIRAGE - A string of bank robberies has police searching for suspects.
A third bank has been robbed in the Coachella Valley. On Thursday and Friday two banks were hit along North Palm Canyon Drive. Police believe that a single suspect was involved in each robbery after concluding that the suspect descriptions matched in both robberies. Then again on Friday, Chase Bank on Bob Hope Drive was targeted.
According to Riverside County Sheriff Deputies, a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the robber fled into a waiting silver four-door sedan with a driver at the wheel.
Deputies haven't released a dollar sign on how much was taken. The suspect's description is a close match to the Palm Springs bank robberies, where police say the suspect was a white male 20-30 years of age.
