Charred Remains Found in Burnt out Cabin
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY - At 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night, the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department announced charred remains have been found in a cabin where wanted ex-cop Christian Dorner led police after a shootout that left a Sheriff's Deputy dead.
According to officials, U.S. Fish and WIldlife officers spotted a suspect they believed to be Dorner. Dorner, in an attempt to escape, fired on the officers, striking their truck. The chase led to a cabin. Two Sheriff's Deputies joined in the hunt, but were met with gunfire. Both Deputies were hit, one later died at Loma Linda hospital. Dorner then barricaded himself.
KMIR6 News has obtained a recording of San Bernardino Tactical Swat team audio just moments before the cabin went up in smoke.
