Modernism Living Expo Showcases Homes of the Future
PALM SPRINGS- Modernism week is bringing the very latest in home design to Palm Springs.
At the Modern Living expo, the products are simple, sleek and new.
"What we try to do is make it as minimalist as possible but still functional as possible," said Bret Englander, co-founder of Cerno.
The event showcases everything from lighting fixtures to modern chairs.
"It's not just a celebration of the old but here at the modern living expo, it's
embracing the new modern technology and architecture and how it has
evolved over the years," Josh Zipperman, spokesperson for the Modern Living Expo.
Attendees aren't just seeing the freshest interior designs, they also get to see what the homes of the future look like. Organizers displayed two modular pre fabricated homes.
"There's a generation of home buyers looking for something better designed smaller, more efficient, higher quality, where they can really get value for their money," said Graham Smith, LTS Architecture.
The modern Living Expo runs until Monday next to the Palm Springs Hilton, and continues next weekend. Tickets are $10 at the door.
