CATHEDRAL CITY (CNS) - Interstate 10's eastbound lanes will be closed at Date Palm Drive, as Caltrans contractors remove scaffolding at a bridge-widening project.

The work wasscheduled for Tuesday night but was delayed because of weather, California Highway Patrol Officer Joe Zagorski said.

The eastbound side of I-10 at Date Palm will be closed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday, and the westbound will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday.

Date Palm will also be closed from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on those days, and drivers must use Palm Drive or Bob Hope Drive to access and exit the freeway, Zagorski said.
