LA QUINTA--The 31st La Quinta Arts Festival returns to the La Quinta Civic Center Campus March 7-10. It's the nation's premier fine art event and they have the talent to prove it.

Mark stephenson's life is art. He spends countless hours working on pieces. It's an intricate process, but the final product is nothing short of spectacular.

"Having participated last year, the energy was just so fantastic at last years La Quinta Arts Festival that we pretty much knew right away that it was likely to be the number one and it turned out to be," Featured Poster Artist Mark Stephenson, said.

Stephenson's stunning work is so eye catching, it's the official art work for this years La Quinta Arts Festival.

"I'm just over the moon to be the poster artist, it's just wonderful," Stephenson said.

It's the number one arts fair in the United States, with 230 top notch artists from 29 states, showcasing original works.

"It's art heaven for four days. It's unbelievable. That's all I can say. It's unlike anything you could ever experience. It is amazing," Robert Ferguson, an artist from San Diego said.

There really is something for everyone in every fine art medium imaginable. From ceramics, drawing and pastel to printmaking and sculpture.

"It's important for us to get our art out in the public and get the feedback, find out what we're doing right and we get that directly from the customer and from the show," Jason Napier, an artist from Washington said.

Stephenson is still putting the finishing touches on his masterpieces sure to dazzle the crowds in La Quinta.

The La Quinta Arts Festival kicks off one week from tomorrow. Daily admission is $12 dollars but we'll be giving away tickets next week on KMIR 6 today, our morning news, so be sure to tune in for your chance to win.
