INDIO- As friends and family of Victor Regalado Jr. prepare to lay their loved one to rest, they gathered at several events over the weekend to pay tribute to their loved one.
On Saturday night the community gathered for a vigil at Shadow Hills High School- where Regalado would have graduated from this Spring.
Earlier in the day, friends organized a car wash to raise money for the eighteen-year-old's funeral. Regalado was the passenger in an alleged DUI car crash. Now many friends and classmates are vowing to not drink and drive.
"I'm going to celebrate his life and live it to the fullest for him," said Jesse Grijavala, Regalado's friend since 6th grade.
