Maria Sharapova Wins Women's BNP Championship
INDIAN WELLS - Maria Sharapova defeated Caroline Wozniacki in the women's final Sunday as the BNP Paribas Open concludes at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Second seeded Sharapova, had not lost a set in her five matches in the tournament. Heading into Sunday's championship match Sharapova had defeated Wozniacki four of the six times they've met,
including each of the last two.
Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin Del Potro meet Sunday afternoon in the men's final.
Both the men's and women's winners receive $1 million, while the runners-up receive $500,000.
